We have an exciting opportunity for a Mining Engineer to join our high-performing Technical Services team at Kanowna Belle Operations. This residential role in Kalgoorlie-Boulder operates on an 8/6 roster, 12-hour shifts, offering the perfect balance between career progression and lifestyle. What you’ll be doing: Driving mining success by producing high-impact weekly schedules aligned with monthly and quarterly plans. Providing clear, effective work instructions for production and ancillary activities, ensuring smooth operations and safety compliance. Overseeing Drill and Blast QA/QC activities to maintain precision and efficiency, enhancing overall performance. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to optimise production outcomes and improve operational strategies. Monitoring, reporting, and ensuring seamless compliance with production schedules, helping to deliver on key performance indicators. Leading innovative improvement projects to elevate mining efficiency, drive cost savings, and improve best practices. Mentoring junior engineers and operational teams, sharing expertise, and fostering professional development within the workforce. Engaging in cutting-edge technology initiatives, supporting automation, and improving mining methodologies for long-term sustainability. What we’re looking for: Tertiary Qualifications in Mining Engineering. Current "C" Class Western Australian Driver’s Licence (Manual). Experience with mine design software – Deswik, with the ability to interpret and apply mining plans effectively. Hands-on underground production experience in a mechanised hard-rock underground mine (planning experience desirable but not essential). Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills, with a proactive and innovative mindset. Flexibility and adaptability to evolving industry standards, regulations, and best practices, ensuring compliance and efficiency. Desirable: St Johns Senior First Aid certification and familiarity with the Work Health & Safety Act and Regulations.
