Job Summary
Our client is seeking a Piping/Mechanical Designer with 5-15 years of experience in AutoCAD 2D drafting and Aveva 3D modeling for piping and mechanical drawings in oil & gas and petrochemical facilities. The role involves field data collection, interfacing with site teams and vendors, and delivering compliant designs per ASME, API, and local standards.
Job Description
Aveva 3D modelling and AutoCAD 2D Design Experience for Piping and Mechanical Drawings: Piping Isometrics, Plot Plans, Equipment Layout, General Arrangement Drawings,
Experienced in Oil & Gas upstream, midstream or downstream facilities, or petrochemical facilities
Ability to go to field for collect site information and support field work activities.
Responsible for working directly with site operations, technicians, and project teams to develop scope of work for the company
Communicate with site project engineer, site document controller, operations and company team for project requirements
Interface with company design team in India to coordinate about for project scope discussions and Design Review discussions
Interface and coordinate with multiple engineering disciplines to meet project design requirements and effectively manage the internal flow of data and design changes.
Experienced Piping Codes, API and ASME standards and local standards in Texas
Work with vendors for any vendor specific items and update the relevant Equipment drawings.
Prepare and review Mechanical engineering discipline deliverables in AutoCAD 2D and 3D Model in Aveva 3D.
Quality Review and Validation of final deliverables before submission to client.
Ensure site safety and health protocols are followed
Skills Required Mechanical Designer with 5-15 years of experience of 2D AutoCAD drafting and Aveva 3D modelling experience of Piping and Mechanical Drawings in Oil & Gas, Petrochemicals, Midstream facilities, in compliance with ASME codes and API standards & general specifications.
Strong working knowledge of design codes including ASME Section VIII, Div. 1, TEMA and other API standards.
Experience with European codes would be beneficial.
Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD software and 3D modelling.
Must have 3d, AutoCAD Design, Aveva 3D, Field Pipe Routing, Isometric Drawings, Oil & Gas, refinery
Education/Training/Certifications Diploma / Certificate in Mechanical is required.
