Podiatrist Job Opportunity

This is an open continuous announcement. Applications will be accepted on an ongoing basis until December 31, 2025. Eligible applicants will be referred each month as vacancies occur on an as-needed basis until positions are filled. This announcement has been amended to update the salary range to match the new 2025 pay scales.

The salary range for this position is $123,077 to $400,000 per year. This salary covers multiple specialties, and the actual salary will be based on the specialty being filled and your qualifications.

• Boca Raton, FL
• Delray Beach, FL
• Fort Pierce, FL
• Okeechobee, FL

This position is not remote or telework eligible. Occasional travel may be required. The position is permanent with multiple work schedules available. This job is open to current federal employees of the hiring agency.

This announcement is open to current, permanent West Palm Beach VA Medical Center facility employees only.

The Podiatrist provides quality patient care in collaboration with other health care professionals. The incumbent will perform specific duties within his/her approved scope of practice and must be able to give authoritative views and opinions on subjects in their field of medicine. Duties include but are not limited to:

• Providing podiatric services in outpatient, urgent care, inpatient, and telehealth settings
• Performing podiatric procedures in the operating room and office setting
• Performing clinical review, triage, and management of podiatric consults
• Teaching of trainees including residents, medical students, and others
• Ensuring accurate and timely medical record documentation
• Participating in committees, peer review process, and other administrative responsibilities
• Biomedical evaluation of the lower extremities to assist in the management of pathology

Requirements include:

• U.S. Citizenship
• Proficiency in written and spoken English
• Selective Service Registration for males born after 12/31/1959
• Must pass pre-employment physical examination
• Participation in the seasonal influenza vaccination program is a requirement for all Department of Veterans Affairs Health Care Personnel

Qualifications include:

• Degree as a doctor of podiatric medicine
• Currently hold, or will hold, a full and unrestricted license to practice Podiatry
• Completed, or currently completing, residency training approved by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs
