Job Description

Our client, a leading academic medical center in New York City, seeks a full-time Radiation Oncologist to join its distinguished team. This is a clinical-focused position with responsibilities across two affiliated hospitals, both easily accessible by public transportation or car from Manhattan, New Jersey, and Long Island. The Radiation Oncologist will serve as the second full-time physician at each hospital site, supporting the existing Director of Service. The role encompasses the full spectrum of clinical radiation oncology care:

Responsibilities

1. Inpatient and outpatient consultations
2. Treatment prescribing and planning
3. Participation in chart rounds and on-treatment visits
4. Conducting follow-up appointments
5. Active participation in tumor boards at both sites
6. Shared on-call responsibilities with the other attending physicians
7. Academic faculty appointment

Qualifications

1. MD degree required
2. ABR board certified or board eligible
3. Active New York State medical license, DEA registration, and Medicaid number
4. Strong clinical abilities and expertise in advanced radiation modalities
5. Exceptional communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills
