Legend Biotech is seeking a Scientist, In Vivo CAR-T as part of the R&D team based in Philadelphia, PA.

Role Overview

Legend Biotechnology is at the forefront of developing innovative cell-based therapies. We are seeking an experienced and dynamic senior scientist to support our in vivo CAR-T cell therapy program. If you're passionate about advancing groundbreaking treatments and have a strong background in cellular immunotherapy, this role is for you.

The successful candidate should possess extensive knowledge and research experience in virology, molecular biology, CAR-T cell therapy. The candidate will be able to contribute to in vivo cell therapy platform and pipeline development through lentivirus preparation, ex vivo and in vitro function assays to evaluate product potency and safety. 2-3 year biotech or pharmaceutical industry or postdoc experience is required.

You will collaborate with team members and cross-functional teams, including research, development, and manufacturing, to drive the successful translation of preclinical findings into clinical applications. Your expertise will be critical in advancing our mission to improve patient outcomes.

The candidate needs to demonstrate the ability of delivering scientific results with integrity and timeline, show the value of collaboration and teamwork, and provide expertise and team support in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop cell and gene therapy platform and optimize cell-based immunoassays, including immune cell isolation and expansion, T cell culture, virus packaging and titering, multi-color flow cytometry, ELISA, cytotoxic assays, PCR analysis.
• Work closely with team to test different designs to deliver reliable and consistent data
• Independently design and execute experiments, document and interpret scientific results, present the data within research team and cross-functional teams
• Experience to support project from early research to clinical stage is a plus
• Stay alert to industry development, keep learning and be comfortable in a fast-paced team
• Lab support work

Requirements

• PhD in Immunology / cell biology, or master with extensive experience.
• Experience in immunology, cell and gene therapy is preferred.
• Knowledge in cell biology, cell culture, and flow cytometry preferred.
