Job Description

Our client is seeking a Senior Construction Engineer & Inspector to support projects in their Southeast Region.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the administration and inspection of construction engineering projects/programs
  • Plan and organize work for subordinate staff; develop and review project-specific policies, methods, practices, and procedures
  • Ensure projects conform to client standards and specifications
  • Identify and pursue new opportunities for growth
  • Foster and maintain strong professional relationships with key organizations to ensure successful project completion and future business development
  • Prepare proposals and estimates for upcoming projects
  • Review technical work and reports produced by others
  • Oversee projects to ensure that schedules and budgets are adhered to
  • Conduct periodic inspections at construction or work sites

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
  • Registered Professional Engineer (PE) in the State of Florida
  • Minimum of 6 years of progressive experience in major road and bridge construction
  • Familiarity with FDOT policies and procedures (experience with District 3 is a plus)
  • FDOT Advanced MOT Certification
  • Completion of CTQP Quality Control Manager course and passing of the associated exam
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Clean driving record in accordance with the company’s driving policy
