What We Are Looking For

We’re looking for a Senior Product Manager to own the strategy and delivery of core science modules critical to the success of Flawless filmmaking tools. You will embed directly into our science-engineering cross-functional teams, acting as the connective tissue between cutting-edge research and real-world product needs. You’ll be the critical voice translating requirements and priorities of production-grade filmmaking tools into a research and delivery roadmap that is grounded, strategic, and tightly aligned with our user and business goals.

This is a deeply cross-functional role, interfacing with two teams consisting of research scientists, applied scientists, machine learning engineers, and software engineers and engaging with stakeholders that include product engineering, film production partners, and end users. You'll be responsible for identifying high-leverage opportunities for scientific innovation, model delivery optimization, framing product-aligned hypotheses and managing the progression of innovations from research through to implementation and production delivery.

This is an ideal role for a sharp, autonomous PM who is comfortable crafting and championing a product vision that aligns with business goals and user needs. We’re looking for someone with strong product fundamentals, excellent communication instincts, strong technical aptitude, and the conviction to advocate for outcomes over novelty. You will help build a culture of product-focused research and delivery.

Responsibilities

Product Strategy & Vision:

  • Define the product vision and long-term roadmap for core AI models and refinement tools used within Flawless’ suite of filmmaking tools, ensuring alignment with business goals and user needs.
  • Work with stakeholders to identify and prioritize features, balancing AI innovation with practical use cases in the filmmaking industry.
  • Monitor industry trends to ensure the product stays competitive in terms of AI technology and filmmaking tools.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Act as the primary liaison between AI research scientists, applied scientists, ML engineers, software engineers, and non-technical stakeholders (like marketing, sales, and user support teams).
  • Facilitate collaboration between AI research scientists, applied scientists, ML engineers, software engineers and stakeholders (like filmmakers and production teams) to ensure that AI models, algorithms, and tooling meet the needs of filmmakers and editors while being technically feasible.
  • Align the AI team’s output with product requirements to ensure practical, usable, and valuable tools for the filmmaking process.

AI Model Development Lifecycle:

  • Track AI model performance in real-world filmmaking environments and iterate based on feedback from the editing team and end-users.
  • Collaborate closely with the cross-functional teams to ensure the research and development lifecycle is efficient and that models are integrated with editing tools effectively.
  • Oversee model evaluation metrics (e.g., accuracy, latency, scalability) and ensure these metrics align with the software’s end-user needs.

Stakeholder Management & Communication:

  • Provide regular updates and reports on product development, AI model performance, and customer feedback to stakeholders.
  • Facilitate meetings and discussions between technical teams (AI, ML, and engineering) and business stakeholders to ensure clarity and alignment on goals.
  • Present the product roadmap and new feature releases to internal and external stakeholders, gathering feedback and adjusting priorities as necessary.

Qualifications & Experience

  • 5–8+ years of product management experience, ideally with exposure to research-adjacent or deeply technical environments.
  • Proven ability to drive autonomous workstreams in ambiguous, complex domains.
  • Strong product intuition and a relentless focus on solving real-world problems with measurable outcomes.
  • Adept at translating between technical stakeholders and creative or user-facing teams; you make complexity digestible and vision executable.
  • Demonstrated success aligning technical initiatives with user and business goals across cross-functional teams.
  • A solid technical grounding (e.g. ability to understand ML model abstractions, experimental setups, or research constraints) is expected, but deep ML expertise is not required.
  • Bonus: Experience with ML/AI research, neural rendering, facial animation, or film/media technology is a plus—but not required.

Interview Process

At Flawless, our team and interview process want to help you show your best self. We’ll dive into past projects and simulate working together.

Our interview process is three rounds with some casual Zoom (or in-person) coffee in between to get to know each other:

  • Recruiting Screen: 30-45 minute call with our recruiting team (We want to discuss your interests and motivations as well as the practical details and make sure that Flawless would be a good fit for you)
  • Hiring Manager Screen: 45-60 minutes digging into your past experience. Primarily asking you to talk through your past work. We will want you to talk in depth about products you have worked and understand how you are able to evaluate them, think about how they might be improved and the different people you have worked with to build them.
  • Skills Interview: 60 minutes zoom interview. This will be a workshop focussed on exploring your product thinking and instincts. Here you will meet with a senior member of our Product team and a member of the technical team.
  • Team/Final Interview: 60-90 minutes onsite Interview where you will meet some of your potential future colleagues as well as our CEO (CEO may be virtual). Here we will focus deeply on how you work as well as discussing Flawless and the opportunities/challenges here. We want to make sure that we have a great mutual fit.

Your Recruiter and hiring manager will be your main point of contact and prepare you for interviews. You’ll meet 4 to 6 people from across the business. (We make sure that you have time in each interview to ask them questions). If we don’t give an offer, we’ll provide feedback!

Why work at Flawless?

You will be working in an environment based on trust, autonomy and collaboration, and this is a great opportunity for someone who wants to be part of a growing company in its most exciting stage of development. You can play a part in shaping the future of a company that’s caring, creative and collaborative.

In addition to this, you'll also receive:

  • Autonomy
  • A hybrid working environment
  • Competitive Salary
  • Stock Options

I don’t meet all the listed requirements—should I still apply?

Absolutely! Research shows that women and underrepresented groups often hesitate to apply unless they meet every qualification, but at Flawless, we actively work to break down those barriers. We believe diverse perspectives, experiences, and backgrounds make us stronger, and we are committed to supporting and elevating underrepresented talent. If you're excited about the role, share our values, and believe you can contribute meaningfully, we encourage you to apply—even if you don’t meet every single requirement. Your unique skills and perspective matter, and we’d love to hear from you ️
