Job Description

We are working with New York's largest healthcare provider in their search for a Search Engine Marketing Director. The SEM Director will lead and develop marketing strategies and plans, taking responsibility to ensure successful implementation in support of the organization's business objectives. The role involves close collaboration with both account management and physicians to develop and execute effective SEM strategies.

A central aspect of this position is partnering with hospital leadership to craft marketing briefs that support new business opportunities and strategic analysis. These initiatives are designed to align with broader objectives, such as increasing patient volume and enhancing the institution’s reputation.

The candidate they are looking for should feel confident engaging directly with senior stakeholders- including hospital executives and be capable of independently developing marketing briefs with a strategic perspective.

Job Title: Search Engine Marketing Director

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop a marketing group by effectively communicating with staff members, fostering consensus for programs, and setting clear goals aligned with business, functional, or geographical areas.
  • Develop and communicate short-term strategic visions for areas of responsibility.
  • Collaborate with leadership to set strategic operating goals, objectives, and budgets. Report on operational performance and provide justifications or corrective actions when necessary.
  • Work with leadership to create integrated marketing campaigns for clinical services, hospitals, and ambulatory facilities, establishing strong relationships with clinical and hospital leadership to identify objectives and opportunities.
  • Oversee the development and execution of integrated marketing plans, ensuring they are tailored to reach target audiences through relevant channels. Integrate various tactics to drive results and support business objectives.
  • Manage a team that oversees day-to-day relationships with external vendors, including advertising agencies, printers, and mail houses. Direct vendors in developing creative and media strategies and execution.
  • Utilize database analysis and market research to guide marketing efforts, providing direction for enhancing digital campaigns and website content.
  • Lead and mentor a team in executing campaigns while fostering professional growth and career development. Support the effective application of corporate identity standards across the organization.
  • Build and maintain strong interdepartmental and vendor relationships to optimize operations.
  • Ensure compliance with government and agency regulations.
  • Oversee scheduling and distribute responsibilities equitably within the team to ensure effective workflow and performance.
  • Perform other related duties as required.

Job Experience & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • 8-12 years of experience in marketing preferrably within healthcare, non-profit, government or structured hierarchy type of environment. Healthcare marketing a plus.
  • Proven ability to lead teams and develop successful marketing strategies that align with organizational goals.
  • Strong understanding of integrated marketing campaigns, vendor management, and digital marketing efforts.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to build productive relationships across departments and with external partners.
  • Familiarity with government regulations and compliance in marketing practices, hierarchy and process oriented structure.
  • Must be available to travel to New York City 1-2x on average onsite in corporate offices and New Hyde Park, Long Island corporate location.
  • Must be able to showcase previous work/deck samples, that incorporates that specific strategic approach.
